Project Management Across the Bay   Networking Event 2013

The PMI Suncoast and Tampa Bay Chapters have joined together again this year to sponsor this special networking event on July 11th.

 Do you enjoy networking and meeting new friends and other project manager associates ? How about getting a free prize?  Relaxing and socializing with old and new friends?  Just for you the PMI Suncoast and Tampa Bay Chapters have joined together again in 2013 to invite you to a fantastic networking event!   Last year's event was such as success that we just have to do this again.  And we want you to join us!

This event will be held on July 11th starting at 5:30 pm at the Aqua Bar & Grille in the Westin Hotel on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.  Come enjoy appetizers and drinks (1 free drink ticket will be provided) as you network your way amongst the many Project Managers in attendance.  

The Practice of Program Management 8 PDU Interactive Seminar

The days of the monolithic, complex, multi-year project are over. They are just too hard to plan, manage and complete within expectations. The better approach is to break large initiatives into multiple smaller projects. These smaller projects are easier to manage and they each have a much better chance to be successful. Of course, if each project was managed independently, the entire initiative would be at risk of losing focus and getting out-of-control.

Enter the program. A program is an organizational structure that is established to coordinate and guide a large initiative made up of multiple related projects. The program provides an umbrella structure over the entire initiative and has the high-level visibility and continuity to guide all of the underlying projects toward overall success.

Tampa Bay Chapter PMI

Non-Academic Scholarship Program

Overview

The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Project Management Institute (TBPMI) Non-Academic Scholarship Program is designed to financially assist Chapter Member Applicants in obtaining:

1. Contact hours for non-academic education in project management to qualify for the Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Program Management Professional (PgMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), or PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)
2. Admission to a PMP, CAPM, PgMP, PMI-SP or PMI-RMP exam preparation courses ^[1], or
3. Professional Development Units (PDUs) required for maintaining PMI certification.

PMI is a global organization of volunteers at the national, regional, and chapter levels. Our chapter relies on volunteers to provide the services and value our members join PMI for. Many volunteer opportunities are available in the chapter, whether its being a member of the Board of Directors, taking leadership roles on major chapter projects, or helping out with key events such as the annual Symposium.
